PRODUCT
SunRecome™ is a patented
Chinese herbal extract containing the
spores, fruiting body and concentrated
triterpenoids and polysaccharides from
red reishi mushrooms (known in China
as lingzhi; Latin name: Ganoderma
lucidum).
This product is compatible with traditional
western cancer treatments, including
chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
HISTORY
More than 2,100 years ago,
the ancient Chinese Materia Medica hailed
lingzhi as a “superior herb”
because of its multitude of healing
properties that produce no negative
side effects. Today’s worldwide
experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) concur that lingzhi continues
to reign as the most powerful, versatile
and safe medicinal herb.
ADVANCES
Using modern methods to study
lingzhi, Dr. Jinsheng Chen of the Shanghai
Green Valley Manufacturing Company in
China became the first to: 1) define
lingzhi’s molecular structure;
2) isolate its triterpenoid molecule.
PATENTS
As Green Valley’s chief
scientist, Dr. Chen applied his lingzhi
research to the development of cancer research. This
product, introduced in 1997, has been
awarded three Chinese patents for: extracting
and concentrating triterpenoids from
lingzhi’s fruiting body; effectively
breaking open lingzhi’s spores
to release their immune-boosting polysaccharides;
and formulating the highest quality
spores, fruiting body and triterpenoids
into a medicinal extract.
UNIQUENESS
1) SunRecome
is the first lingzhi product to receive
patent protection. 2) In China, the
world’s largest producer of lingzhi,
SunRecome outsells all other lingzhi
products combined.
MANUFACTURING
SunRecome is manufactured
in China at the Xi’an Green Valley
Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd. This facility
is certified to comply with international
standards for quality assurance (ISO
9002) and with Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP) specified for Traditional Chinese
Medicine.
CULTIVATION
The SunRecome formula
requires a large amount of raw materials,
specifically 1,000 pounds of lingzhi’s
spores to extract just one pound of
triterpenoid powder, and 20 pounds of
lingzhi’s spores, fruiting body
and triterpenoid powder to produce one
pound of the SunRecome extract. But
the natural supply of lingzhi is limited,
because this rare fungus grows wild
on only two or three of every 10,000
aged trees in coastal provinces of China.
So in 1997, Green Valley developed the
world’s first cultivation site
that mimics lingzhi’s natural
soil, water, sunlight, climate and growth
conditions. Harvested lingzhi undergo
DNA analysis at Green Valley’s
Xi’an facility to identify the
highest quality raw materials for use
in SunRecome.
DIRECTIONS
SunRecome is a powdered,
concentrated extract. The contents of
each 2-gram hermetically sealed packet
must be mixed with 2 ounces of hot water
to release the product’s active
ingredients. After the mixture has cooled,
it is consumed one hour prior to meals.
Patients take
two to four packets each day while undergoing
chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
